  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions (garnish) Chopped
  • 1 cup Corn Kernels Fresh, frozen, or canned
For the Rice
  • 4 cups Day Old Rice Ideal for stir-frying
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Optional but recommended
For the Sauces
  • 3 tablespoons Light Soy Sauce Tamari is a gluten-free alternative
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce Vegetarian version is available
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Maple syrup can be an alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil Adjust amount as needed

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your pan over medium heat and drizzle in a tablespoon of oil, getting ready for that sizzle!
  2. Add sliced yellow onions to the pan and sauté until translucent, around 3-4 minutes. Mix in the minced garlic.
  3. Push the onions to one side of the pan. Add another drizzle of oil, then lay the sliced shabu beef down, cooking for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  4. Spread the beef and onions evenly across the pan. Place a portion of day-old rice in the center and gently press.
  5. Sprinkle on the corn kernels and chopped green onions. Add pats of butter on top of the rice.
  6. Stir everything together gently, ensuring the sauce integrates with the rice and ingredients evenly. Serve hot on a sizzling plate.
