How to Make Blackened Fish Tacos With Slaw
  1. Preheat your oven to 270°F. Wrap the tortillas in aluminum foil and warm in the oven for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, cumin, cilantro, green onions, and shredded cabbage. Squeeze in fresh lime juice, seasoning the mix with salt and pepper. Toss well and let it sit for a few minutes to meld the flavors.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together sweet paprika, chili powder, kosher salt, and cayenne to make the blackened seasoning.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle in vegetable oil. Pat the tuna steaks dry and coat them generously with the blackened seasoning. Sear each side for 1 to 2 minutes until a crust forms, ensuring the center stays juicy and pink.
  5. Once the tuna is seared, slice it and layer it into the warmed tortillas. Top with a generous helping of cumin-lime slaw, and enjoy immediately.
