Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the potatoes by peeling and slicing them into thin, uniform rounds.
- Mix together the sour cream, sharp cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, butter, green onions, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until well combined.
- Layer half of the potato slices in a greased baking dish and spoon half of the sour cream mixture over them. Repeat with remaining potatoes and sauce.
- Crown your creation with breadcrumbs and additional cheese if desired.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Cool slightly before serving to allow layers to set.
