How to Make Chewy Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookies
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter (or oil), brown sugar, and mashed banana until well combined.
- Stir in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until blended.
- Add flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon; gently mix until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Let the dough rest for about 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop dough onto the cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
