  1. Prepare Corn: If using canned or frozen corn, drain and dry the kernels thoroughly.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk the egg until fluffy, then add flour, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
  3. Incorporate Corn: Gently fold in the corn kernels into the cheese mixture.
  4. Shape Bites: Using your hands, form the mixture into bite-sized balls or small patties.
  5. Heat Oil: In a deep skillet, heat vegetable or canola oil over medium heat until hot but not smoking.
  6. Fry Bites: Carefully place the corn cheese bites in the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Drain Excess Oil: Remove bites from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to soak up excess oil.
