  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened, use full-fat for rich texture.
  • 8 oz Crab Meat Use real crab or imitation.
  • 2 scallions Green Onions Finely sliced.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Can substitute with fresh minced garlic.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce Use sparingly.
For the Wrappers
  • 10 pieces Egg Roll Wrappers Avoid spring roll wrappers.
  • 1 cup Water For sealing edges.
For Cooking
  • 3 cups Oil for Frying Use vegetable or canola oil.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crab meat, finely chopped green onions, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth and creamy.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper in a diamond shape. Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the filling into the center, fold in the sides, and roll tightly towards the top point. Use water to seal.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry the egg rolls in batches of 3-4 for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Once fried, place the egg rolls on paper towels to drain excess oil. Let them cool slightly before serving.
