Method
 

Making the Chips
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for crispy exterior.
  2. Slice the yellow onions thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Layer the shredded Parmesan cheese on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Arrange the onion slices in a single layer over the Parmesan.
  5. Brush the tops of the onion slices with olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  6. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until crispy and golden, monitoring closely.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before slicing into individual chips.
