How to Make Crock Pot French Onion Meatballs
- Prepare Crock Pot: Place the frozen meatballs at the bottom of your slow cooker, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Add Ingredients: Layer the sliced onions on top of the meatballs. Pour the French onion soup over everything, followed by sprinkling the onion soup mix. Gently stir to combine all the flavors.
- Slow Cook: Cover the crock pot with its lid and set it to cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Add Cheese: In the last moments of cooking, sprinkle the shredded Gruyère cheese over the top. Cover again, allowing the cheese to melt into gooey perfection for about 10-15 minutes.
- Thicken (if desired): If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1-2 tablespoons of cornstarch with a bit of water to create a slurry. Stir this into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.

Notes
Optional: Garnish with fresh parsley for an added touch of color and flavor. Adjust spices to taste, and feel free to experiment with different cheeses.
