How to Make Crockpot Mississippi Chicken
  1. Lay 2 lbs of skinless, boneless chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker in a single layer.
  2. Evenly sprinkle the ranch dressing and dry au jus gravy mixes over the chicken.
  3. Cut the unsalted butter into small squares and scatter them over the seasoned chicken.
  4. Place sliced pepperoncini on top and drizzle with a bit of the pepper juice.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
  6. Use two forks to shred the chicken right in the slow cooker, mixing it with the rich juices before serving.
