How to Make Caramel Cookie Bars
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line your baking pan.
- Cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.
- Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan and drizzle caramel sauce over it.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
