How to Make Caramel Cookie Bars
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line your baking pan.
  2. Cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.
  6. Spread half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan and drizzle caramel sauce over it.
  7. Crumble the remaining dough over the caramel layer.
  8. Bake for about 30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
  9. Allow the bars to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
