Method

How to Make
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy. Add in melted butter, egg, cocoa, food coloring, and vanilla. Gradually mix in flour and salt until a dough forms.
  2. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle generously with sugar, cinnamon, and your cocoa mixture.
  5. Tightly roll the dough into a log, trim the edges, and slice into 12 equal pieces using unflavored dental floss for clean cuts.
  6. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Once slightly cooled, drizzle the rolls with a glaze made from powdered sugar, cream cheese, and a splash of milk. Add heart-shaped sprinkles for that extra festive touch!
