Steps to Make Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Whisk together flour, cornstarch, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl.
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in pure vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine dry mixture into wet ingredients in three intervals, mixing on low speed.
- Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts until evenly distributed.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- Press additional chocolate chips on top of each dough ball.
- Bake for 10-13 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Cool cookies on the baking sheet for 4-5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
