  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt balances sweetness

  • 1/2 cup Nuts like walnuts or almonds, chopped

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Mix in almond milk, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
  5. Pour the mixture into a prepared 8x8 inch pan and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes until set.
  6. Allow bars to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift out and cut into squares.
