Cooking Steps
- If using chicken breast, tenderize it with baking soda for about 20 minutes, rinse under cold water, and slice thinly for even cooking.
- Steam or boil your broccoli florets until they are bright green and tender, then drain well to ensure the sauce doesn't become watered down.
- In a bowl, mix cornstarch with light soy sauce until completely smooth, then add oyster sauce, Chinese cooking wine, sesame oil, and a pinch of white pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Toss in minced garlic and sliced onion, sautéing briefly until golden and fragrant, around 1-2 minutes.
- Introduce the sliced chicken to the skillet and stir-fry for about 2 minutes, or until it is just cooked through.
- Add the prepared broccoli, sauce mixture, and water to the skillet. Stir well, allowing the sauce to thicken and evenly coat all the ingredients, about 1-2 minutes.
- Pour your Chicken Broccoli Stir Fry over rice or cauliflower rice and serve!
