For the Pasta
  • 12 ounces Penne Pasta Can use any short pasta shape.
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Can substitute with Pecorino Romano.

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts, heavy whipping cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic powder, and Cajun seasoning into your crock pot. Mix gently to combine all the flavors.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  3. Remove the chicken from the crock pot, shred it using two forks, and set aside.
  4. Whisk the sauce in the crock pot to combine and ensure it's smooth.
  5. Stir in the uncooked penne pasta, then return the shredded chicken back to the pot.
  6. Cover and cook on high for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the pasta is tender.
  7. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, cover for 5 minutes to melt cheese, then serve warm.
