Method
 

Making the Margarita Balls
  1. In a large bowl, combine the vanilla wafer crumbs, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, fresh lime juice, and tequila. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes.
  3. Once chilled, scoop the mixture and roll it into 1-inch balls using your hands. Place the rolled balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the lime zest and additional powdered sugar. Roll each ball in this mixture until well-coated.
  5. Return the coated balls to the refrigerator and chill them for at least 1 hour.
