How to Make Orange Muffins
  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. This creates a balanced base for your muffins; set aside.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a larger bowl, vigorously beat together the eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, orange zest, and orange juice for about 30 seconds until well combined.
  3. Incorporate Dry Mixture: Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Let your batter rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a muffin pan with liners or grease it lightly.
  5. Bake Perfectly: Bake the muffins at 425°F for 7 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for another 13-16 minutes.
