  • 1 can Canned Sardines packed in water or olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise or Greek yogurt for a lighter option
  • 1 small Red Onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Dill fresh or dried
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Pepper Seasoning or fresh lemon juice
  • to taste Hot Sauce optional
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoning Salt
For Serving
  • 2 slices Bread toasted or fresh
  • 3 leaves Lettuce for wraps
  • 1 medium Fresh Tomatoes sliced

Method
 

Directions
  1. Drain the canned sardines and place them in a medium bowl.
  2. Add mayonnaise, chopped red onion, fresh parsley, dill, and lemon pepper seasoning to the bowl, along with any hot sauce.
  3. Using a fork, gently mash the mixture until everything is well combined and creamy.
  4. Taste the salad and adjust the seasoning as needed.
  5. Serve the sardine salad on toasted bread, wrapped in lettuce, or with tomato slices.
