Ingredients

Dough
  • 1 can Crescent Roll Dough Substitution: Homemade pastry dough can be used but requires additional time to prepare.
Filling
  • 1 cup Fresh Herbs (Parsley/Chives) Adjust quantity to taste.
  • 1 can Artichoke Hearts Use canned, drained, and finely chopped artichokes for best results.
  • 10 oz Frozen Spinach Ensure to thaw and squeeze out excess moisture to avoid soggy bites.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely dice to integrate well into the filling.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Substitution: Cream cheese can be swapped with vegan alternatives for a dairy-free option.
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Choose full-fat for richer flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Substitution: Nutritional yeast can be used for a vegan option.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced garlic is recommended for the best flavor integration.
  • 1 tsp Salt

Equipment

  • mini muffin tin
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grab a mini-muffin tin and spray it with nonstick cooking spray. Also, line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the crescent dough by unrolling it on a clean surface. Press the seams together to form larger rectangles, then cut out 2-3 inch circles. Gently fit these circles into the prepared mini-muffin cups, and poke the bottoms with a fork.
  3. Cut out pairs of bunny ears from the dough scraps, each about 1-1.5 inches tall. Place these delightful ears on the lined baking sheet, ready for baking.
  4. Bake the ears for 3-5 minutes, and the dough cups for 8-10 minutes, until they turn golden brown. Keep a close eye on them to prevent burning!
  5. Press down the centers of the baked cups gently once they’re out of the oven, creating little wells for the delicious filling.
  6. Mix together spinach, artichokes, cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, finely diced onion, minced garlic, and salt until well combined. Set aside about 1 cup of this mixture for the bites.
  7. Fill each cup with the spinach-artichoke mixture, then insert a pair of adorable bunny ears into each filled cup. For an extra touch, sprinkle fresh herbs on top.
  8. Serve these delightful bites warm and enjoy the smiles they bring!
