- In a large bowl, season your chicken pieces with turmeric powder and salt.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the chicken in batches and air fry for 15-20 minutes.
- In a medium skillet over medium heat, warm a little oil and sauté the sliced onions until translucent and fragrant.
- Add in the minced garlic and optional chili pepper, stirring for about 30 seconds.
- Pour the sweet soy sauce mixture into the skillet and gently fold in the air-fried chicken pieces.
- Plate the hot chicken over rice, drizzling any remaining sauce on top.
