Method
 

Muffin Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  2. Whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients: melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients gradually, stirring until just combined.
  5. Prepare the streusel by combining cold butter, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon, using fingers to achieve crumbles.
  6. Fill each muffin cup with batter 2/3 full, then swirl in the streusel topping.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool muffins in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
