Method
 

Instructions

  2. Pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels.
  3. Mix the baking powder, kosher salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper in a large bowl. Toss the wings in the seasoning blend.
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, then flip each wing and return them to the oven for an additional 20–25 minutes.
  6. Warm the BBQ sauce and butter together until melted and smooth.
  7. Transfer the baked wings to a clean bowl and pour the warm BBQ sauce mixture over them.
  8. Bake again for an additional 5 minutes if you want extra sticky wings.
  9. Check for doneness by ensuring the internal temperature reaches between 165°F (75°C) and 190°F (88°C).
