  • 1 lb 93% Lean Ground Turkey
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese optional for lower fat version
  • 1/2 cup Italian-Seasoned Breadcrumbs whole wheat optional
  • 1 large Egg beaten
For the Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Herbs (Basil, Parsley, Chives) fresh or dried
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder optional
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes optional
For Baking
  • 1 tbsp Extra-Virgin Olive Oil for brushing

Method
 

How to Make Baked Turkey Meatballs
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil, lightly coating it with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, fresh herbs, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well mixed.
  3. Add ground turkey to the dry mix and gently fold in without overmixing.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg until frothy, then slowly mix into the meat mixture until combined.
  5. Shape mixture into 1 ½-inch meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Brush tops of the meatballs with olive oil for browning.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Serve with sauce and accompaniments like pasta or bread.
