Ingredients
  

For the Sauté
  • 1 lb Fresh Green Beans Trimmed ends
  • 8 oz Mushrooms Button, cremini, or shiitake
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic Sauté until lightly golden
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed
  • to taste Fresh Parsley Optional garnish

Method
 

  1. Trim the ends of the fresh green beans. Rinse and pat dry.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Melt until bubbly.
  3. Add minced garlic, stirring gently for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until browned and tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Combine the mushrooms with the green beans and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and steam the mix for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Uncover and add the remaining butter, stirring to coat the vegetables.
  8. Squeeze in fresh lemon juice and stir well.
  9. Transfer to a serving dish and top with chopped fresh parsley.
