- Trim the ends of the fresh green beans. Rinse and pat dry.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Melt until bubbly.
- Add minced garlic, stirring gently for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until browned and tender, about 4-5 minutes.
- Combine the mushrooms with the green beans and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and steam the mix for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Uncover and add the remaining butter, stirring to coat the vegetables.
- Squeeze in fresh lemon juice and stir well.
- Transfer to a serving dish and top with chopped fresh parsley.
