Preparation
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, and instant yeast until well combined. Gradually stir in the olive oil and warm water until a sticky dough forms. Cover and let rise for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish generously with olive oil. Once the dough has risen, gently stretch it to fit the pan, pressing it out evenly. Let it rest for an additional 30 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Using your fingers, press deep dimples into the surface of the dough. Drizzle the warm garlic oil over the dough and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and flaky sea salt over the top.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the focaccia in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing it into squares or strips, then serve warm.
