  • 1 small Onion, finely chopped Yellow or red onions are great alternatives.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Can substitute with 1/2 tsp garlic powder.
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano Can be substituted with Italian seasoning.
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika Regular paprika can be used for a milder flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin Optional.
  • 1/2 tsp Salt Adjust to taste; kosher salt can be used.
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil Avocado oil can substitute.
For the Tzatziki
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Regular yogurt can substitute, but strain for thickness.
  • 1/2 Cucumber, grated Squeeze out excess water.
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Vinegar can substitute.
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Fresh Dill Can use 1 tsp dried or substitute with mint or parsley.
For the Bowl
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice or Quinoa Cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
  • 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes, halved Bell peppers can substitute.
  • 1/2 Red Onion, thinly sliced Green onions are a milder alternative.
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata Olives, pitted Green olives can substitute.
  • 1/2 cup Crumbled Feta Cheese Omit for dairy-free.
  • Fresh Parsley or Dill For garnish.
  • Lemon Wedges Optional.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and dill. Stir until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper, then refrigerate.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Introduce minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Sprinkle in oregano, smoked paprika, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Cook for 8-10 minutes until browned throughout.
  4. Divide cooked rice or quinoa evenly into bowls. Top each bowl with the seasoned beef mixture. Artfully arrange cherry tomatoes, red onions, olives, and crumbled feta cheese.
  5. Generously spoon tzatziki over the beef. Finish with parsley or dill, and a lemon wedge on the side for an optional zesty touch.
