Making the Ice Cream
- Combine ingredients: In a blender, add the cottage cheese, fresh blueberries, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and milk.
- Blend thoroughly: Blend the mixture until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
- (Optional) Strain for smoothness: Strain the mixture through a fine sieve for an ultra-smooth texture.
- Churn the mixture: Pour into an ice cream maker and churn for 20-25 minutes until soft-serve consistency.
- No ice cream maker? Pour into a shallow dish and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes for 4-5 hours.
- Freeze for firmer texture: Transfer ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
