For the Burger
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 blend) Keeps the patties juicy and flavorful
  • to taste Kosher Salt Season generously
  • to taste Pepper Season generously
For the Cheese Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Butter For cooking
  • 2 cups Cheese Freshly grated
  • 1 cup Milk Whole or 2%
For the Finishing Touches
  • 1/4 cup Thousand Island Dressing For drizzling
  • to taste Diced Pickles Optional
  • to taste Jalapeños Optional

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F.
  2. Spread the frozen crispy fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  3. Season the ground beef with kosher salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add butter.
  4. Divide the beef into 6 portions and press each into thin patties in the skillet.
  5. Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
  6. Layer the baked fries on an oven-safe platter. Break the cooked burger patties and scatter over the fries.
  7. Drizzle the cheese sauce over the dish and return to the oven for 5-10 minutes.
  8. Top with Thousand Island dressing, diced pickles, and jalapeños as desired.
