Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat and let cool slightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk the melted butter and 1 cup of light brown sugar until smooth. Add the large eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  3. Gently stir in 2-3 mashed ripe bananas until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the banana mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in any optional ingredients like 1 cup of chocolate chips or ½ cup of chopped walnuts.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  8. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Let the blondies cool in the pan for 15 minutes before lifting them out.
  10. While cooling, brown 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter and whisk in 1 cup of powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and a pinch of salt.
  11. Pour the glaze over the cooled blondies and spread evenly.
  12. Optionally, add sprinkles on top, cut into squares, and serve.
