Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until it turns nutty and amber, about 5-7 minutes.
- Combine the pumpkin puree, granulated and brown sugars, eggs, and cooled brown butter in a bowl, mixing until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- In a bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and powdered sugar, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
