  • 1/2 cup Brown Butter Melted and browned
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree Thick, drained if needed
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Can swap with brown sugar
  • 2 large Eggs Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
For the Salted Maple Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup Real maple syrup recommended
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Sifted for smooth consistency

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until it turns nutty and amber, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Combine the pumpkin puree, granulated and brown sugars, eggs, and cooled brown butter in a bowl, mixing until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. In a bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and powdered sugar, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
