Equipment

  • large bowl
  • Baking Tray
  • Parchment paper

Method

How to Make Crab Cake Balls
  1. In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, egg, chives, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, and lemon juice. Mix until everything is well blended and smooth, around 2 minutes should do it.
  2. Gently fold in crabmeat and panko breadcrumbs until fully incorporated, taking care not to break the crab pieces.
  3. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small balls, about 1-2 inches in diameter. Make sure they’re firm and compact.
  4. Place the formed balls on a parchment-lined baking tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the balls on a baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve hot or cold with your creamy garlic dipping sauce and lemon wedges.
