  • cup soy sauce low-sodium optional
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or fresh minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

How to Make Crack Green Beans
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to prepare for the green beans.
  2. If using canned beans, drain them thoroughly. For fresh beans, blanch in boiling water for 3-4 minutes, then cool in an ice bath.
  3. Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Reserve the bacon grease and crumble the bacon after draining it.
  4. In the same skillet, mix in butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder and stir over low heat until smooth.
  5. In the greased baking dish, layer green beans and pour the glaze over them. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
  6. Place the dish in the oven and bake uncovered for about 30-40 minutes.
  7. Allow the dish to cool slightly before serving warm.
