Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about ⅛ inch thick.
- Cut the rolled pastry into rectangles that measure approximately 3 by 5 inches.
- Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on one half of each rectangle.
- Layer deli ham and cheese on top of the mustard; add fresh parsley if desired.
- Season with salt and pepper, then fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and seal the edges tightly.
- Place the assembled sticks on the baking sheet and brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is puffy and golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
