For the Rolls
  • 4 large sub rolls or 6 smaller sandwich rolls
For the Butter Mixture
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
For the Filling
  • 8 slices provolone cheese or Swiss, cheddar, or pepper jack
  • ½ lb deli ham thinly sliced
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 cup baby spinach or arugula
  • ½ cup sliced pickles or banana peppers

Method
 

How to Make Hot Roll Sandwiches
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the softened butter with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Spread the seasoned butter generously on the inside of each roll. Place them butter-side up on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  4. Layer each roll with a slice of cheese, followed by deli meat, and optional spinach or pickles. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Wrap the baking sheet tightly with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
  6. Cool for 2-3 minutes before slicing into individual portions. Serve warm.
