For the Dough
  • 1 package Refrigerated Pizza Dough homemade dough works too
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese can use provolone
  • 4 oz Pepperoni or Italian sausage
  • 4 oz Salami capicola can be used
  • 4 oz Deli Ham consider cooked chicken
For the Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning or use oregano/basil
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder fresh minced garlic is optional
For Finishing Touches
  • 2 tbsp Melted Butter or use olive oil
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce for dipping

Method
 

How to Make Italian Stromboli
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle, approximately 10x14 inches.
  3. Spread the shredded mozzarella cheese over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.
  4. Layer the pepperoni, salami, and deli ham over the mozzarella.
  5. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning and garlic powder over the layered meats.
  6. Roll the dough lengthwise into a log, pinching and sealing the edges tightly.
  7. Place the Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush the top with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
