How to Make Strawberry Shortcake Bars
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and all-purpose flour until the mixture resembles clumps. Reserve two-thirds for topping.
- Press the remaining crust mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until set and golden.
- Gently toss hulled strawberries with sugar and a touch of flour to create a sweet filling.
- Spread strawberry mixture evenly over the crust, then sprinkle reserved topping over it.
- Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes until filling is bubbling and topping is golden brown.
- Allow to cool completely, then whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over the bars.
- Cut into squares and serve, optionally garnishing with fresh berries or mint leaves.
