- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, fresh yeast, and salt. Gradually mix in melted unsalted butter and milk until it forms a soft, pliable dough.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, until it has doubled in size.
- Once risen, turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it out into a large rectangle.
- Spread a layer of melted butter and a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon over the dough.
- Cut the dough into strips and twist each strip several times, then place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Allow the twisted dough to rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the twists with an egg wash, then bake for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.
