Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the store-bought puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate chips and unsweetened cocoa powder.
- Slice the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide and place a spoonful of the chocolate mixture on each strip. Twist them into spirals.
- Brush each twist with the egg wash made from the egg and water.
- Arrange your twists on a prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with additional melted chocolate. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar.
