Method
 

General Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Using a mixer, cream the softened unsalted butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate ⅓ cup of pure maple syrup and beat for an additional minute.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually mix in the sifted dry ingredients, alternating with yogurt, until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans, reserving some for the topping.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkling reserved nuts on top.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  10. Warm the remaining maple syrup and drizzle it over the warm bread.
  11. Let the bread cool completely in the pan before removing.
