Making the Bread
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Whisk together the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- Mix the wet ingredients in another bowl: pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures. Stir just until blended.
- Transfer the batter into the greased pan, smoothing the surface with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
- Cool the bread in the pan for about 15-20 minutes, then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
Making the Glaze
- In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until you achieve your desired glaze consistency.
- Drizzle the maple glaze over the cooled pumpkin bread.
