How to Make Kilted Sausage Bites
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or spraying it with cooking spray for easy cleanup.
- Unroll the crescent dough sheets carefully, pinching the seams together to form a large, smooth rectangle.
- For Shredded Cheese Version: Sprinkle shredded cheese along one edge of the dough, then lay the sausage link on top. Roll it up, sealing the seam tightly.
- For Cream Cheese Version: Spread a layer of cream cheese over the dough, then wrap the dough around the sausage link, sealing the edges well.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the rolled dough into ¾-inch rounds and place them evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Brush this glaze over the rolls and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
