Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 pound Raw Shrimp large, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun Seasoning
For the Rice
  • 1 cup Long Grain Parboiled Rice recommended for fluffy texture
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth or vegetable broth for vegetarian option
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or vegan butter for dairy-free
  • 1 medium Onion sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic (fresh) minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning optional
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika or regular paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil or neutral oil
For Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions chopped

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the raw shrimp with Cajun seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the shrimp until cooked through (2-5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  4. Melt the butter in the same skillet; sauté the sliced onion for 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  5. Stir in chicken broth and rice, seasoning with Cajun seasoning, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until liquid is mostly absorbed.
  6. Cover the skillet with a lid and transfer to the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until rice is tender.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes. Stir in shrimp and garnish with green onions before serving.
