How to Make Pemmican With Fruit
  1. Prepare the Meat: Trim any fat from the powdered dried beef. Use a dehydrator to smoke or dry the meat until crispy, 6-8 hours.
  2. Grind the Dried Meat: Blend the cooled meat until it reaches a fine powder consistency.
  3. Melt Tallow: Warm the tallow in a pot over low heat until completely melted.
  4. Mix Ingredients: Combine the powdered meat with the melted tallow, salt, crushed red pepper, and dried fruit. Mix well.
  5. Form the Pemmican: Press the mixture into molds and smooth the top. Allow to cool and harden for 1-2 hours.
  6. Store: Cut into portions and store in an airtight container. Refrigerate for longer shelf life.
