Method

How to Make Homemade Blueberry Lemonade
  1. In a small saucepan, mix 1 cup of water, granulated sugar, and fresh blueberries. Cook over medium-low heat for about 5 to 7 minutes, allowing the sugar to dissolve and the blueberries to break down. Smash them gently with a spoon to release all those delicious juices.
  2. Place a fine mesh strainer over a small bowl and pour the blueberry mixture through it. Use the back of the sauce spoon to push the blueberries, ensuring you extract every bit of syrup. Set the strained blueberry syrup aside to cool.
  3. In a pitcher, combine the cooled blueberry syrup, ⅔ cup of lemon juice, and 4 cups of water. Taste and add more water if you'd like a lighter lemonade. Chill it in the fridge to polish off that refreshing touch.
  4. Pour your delightful blueberry lemonade over ice, topping each glass with extra blueberries and a slice of lemon for a beautiful presentation.
