  • 8 ounces Whipped Topping Thawed properly
  • 1 package Vanilla Wafers Nilla Wafers recommended
  • 3-4 pieces Ripe Bananas Use mostly yellow bananas

Equipment

  • large mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • 9x13-inch baking dish

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of cold whole milk and the instant vanilla pudding mix for about 2 minutes, until it thickens slightly and becomes smooth.
  2. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract until the mixture is completely smooth and free of lumps.
  3. Gently incorporate 8 ounces of thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture until no streaks remain. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Slice 3-4 ripe bananas into 1/2-inch rounds just before assembling.
  5. Crush 1/4 of the package of vanilla wafers into bite-sized pieces and keep the remaining wafers whole for layering.
  6. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, create three layers starting with whole vanilla wafers, followed by half of the banana slices, and half of the pudding mixture. Repeat this layering process until all ingredients are used.
  7. On the top layer of pudding, arrange decorative banana slices and sprinkle the crushed vanilla wafers.
  8. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
