Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spray an 8-inch cast iron skillet or a 1.5-2 qt baking dish with non-stick cooking spray, setting the perfect stage for your cheesy masterpiece.
- Cook the bacon in a large skillet over MED-LOW heat until it’s browned and crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Once done, transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate while reserving the delightful grease in the skillet.
- Sauté the diced onions by increasing the heat to MED-HIGH. Cook them until they are soft and translucent, which should take about 4-5 minutes.
- Brown the ground beef in the same skillet, crumbling it as it cooks. This will take about 4-5 minutes until it’s fully cooked. Transfer the beef to another paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess grease.
- Combine the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Crumble the cooked bacon and add it along with the ground beef, sautéed onions, cream cheese, 1 cup of the mixed cheeses, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated and creamy.
- Transfer the dip mixture to the prepared skillet or baking dish. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheese and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until it’s all bubbly and golden on top.
- Garnish your hot dip with diced dill pickles and a sprinkle of fresh parsley (if desired) before serving.
