Cooking Steps
  1. Sauté the onion in oil until golden brown, which should take about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the chopped tomatoes and cook until the oil separates from the mixture, approximately 5-6 minutes.
  4. Brown the ground beef or lamb by adding it to the pan. Cook for around 5-8 minutes until the meat turns a rich brown color.
  5. Stir in all the dry spices: turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Allow the mixture to cook for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Add the diced potatoes and enough water to cover, then bring to a boil.
  7. Simmer the curry covered for 25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
  8. Garnish your dish with garam masala and fresh chopped coriander just before serving.
