Preparation Steps
  1. Sauté Vegetables: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bell peppers and onions, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add Shrimp: Stir in shrimp, seasoning with Old Bay and lemon zest. Pour in cream, mixing until shrimp turns pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Prepare Pie Crust: Place pie crust into a pie dish. If using, sprinkle layer of cheese across the bottom.
  4. Assemble Filling: Pour shrimp filling into the prepared pie crust. Sprinkle more cheese on top if desired.
  5. Top with Panko: Coat the top of the pie generously with panko breadcrumbs for a crispy texture.
  6. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake pie for 30 minutes until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
