Preparation Steps
- Sauté Vegetables: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped bell peppers and onions, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Add Shrimp: Stir in shrimp, seasoning with Old Bay and lemon zest. Pour in cream, mixing until shrimp turns pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.
- Prepare Pie Crust: Place pie crust into a pie dish. If using, sprinkle layer of cheese across the bottom.
- Assemble Filling: Pour shrimp filling into the prepared pie crust. Sprinkle more cheese on top if desired.
- Top with Panko: Coat the top of the pie generously with panko breadcrumbs for a crispy texture.
