For the Sausage
  • 1 pound Italian sausage Spicy or mild varieties; substitutions welcome
For the Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons butter Can use vegan butter or ghee
  • 3 cloves garlic Fresh minced garlic is best
For the Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley Can substitute with basil or thyme
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice White wine vinegar can be used as a substitute

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large nonstick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once shimmering, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the gnocchi to the skillet and cook for approximately 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Slice the sausage into bite-sized pieces and add to the skillet. Cook until browned and heated through, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Pour in lemon juice and sprinkle parsley over before serving. Stir to combine all flavors.
  5. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Serve in shallow bowls, optionally topping with grated Parmesan.
