How to Make Ground Turkey Taco Skillet
- Begin by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and break it apart with a spatula, cooking until it turns golden brown and no pink remains, about 6-8 minutes.
- Push the browned turkey to one side of the skillet and add the diced onion and bell pepper. Cook until they soften and become fragrant, around 4-5 minutes.
- Stir the turkey back in with the veggies, then add the black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, and taco seasoning. Mix everything thoroughly to ensure each ingredient is combined.
- Lower the heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally to meld those delightful flavors together!
- Taste the dish and adjust with salt and pepper as needed. Serve directly from the skillet or use taco shells or bowls, garnished with cheese, avocado, and cilantro if you like.
